L.U.C 1860 x The Rake & Revolution
We created this edition in the spirit of sartorial elegance that speaks volumes of Karl-Friedrich Scheufele's horological vision interpreted in the L.U.C 1860. In homage to the original 1997 version, the Chopard L.U.C 1860 x The Rake & Revolution edition preserves the spirit of this classic watch. The 36.5mm diameter is perfect for today, with tastes shifting back to vintage style men’s dress watches. Pursuing a new classic combination of white gold and a salmon dial, the color palette is simple, dressy and legible, deviating with a camoflauged date aperture to distinguish our limited edition at a glance. The slightly stepped bezel of the round case is thin and elegant, framing applied arrow-shaped hour markers read off beautiful Dauphine hands. It is powered by the very sophisticated Calibre 1.96, a thin dimension at 3.3mm considering that the micro rotor is recessed inside the movement. With brdges and plates finished and angled by hand, the movement received both the Geneva Seal, as well as the COSC certificate.

CHOPARD L.U.C 1860 X THE RAKE & REVOLUTION
This partnership between Chopard, Revolution and our sister magazine The Rake is a marriage of a classic watch and a classic lifestyle. The standard round watch is elevated in a stylistic colour combination of white gold, salmon, and brown leather, powered by the Calibre 1.96.
NEW OLD STYLE
In homage to the original 1997 L.U.C 1860, the details here are replicated to a T. The 36.5mm diameter is today's new modern dimension; a universal size for all wrists. The slightly stepped bezel of the round case is thin and elegant, housing a stunning gold dial featuring a guilloché centre. Even the Dauphine hands are paired perfectly with the arrow-shaped hour appliques.
The Calibre 1.96 is 3.3mm in height, a thin dimension considering that the micro rotor is recessed inside the movement. It features a swan-neck regulator, as well as a Breguet Overcoil for its hairspring. With brdges and plates finished and angled by hand, the movement received both the Geneva Seal, as well as the COSC certificate.
Karl-Friedrich has connected the men’s watch side of the business with one of his passions, the world of vintage automobile collecting, rallying and racing. While often watch and car collaborations or shared sponsorship are a matter of convenience, in the case of Chopard it is based on a very real passion and on genuine friendship.
