Some of the most beautiful watches are "tropical" or "chocolate" dial Speedmasters. This Ref. 3126.96.36.199.13.001 was produced to emulate the very sought-after vintage charm of patina dials, replicating the faux vintage look in a rich chocolate brown. The cream stick and dot indices, and watch hands are highly legible in a shade of cream, and painted with Super-LumiNova. In its classic 3-6-9 layout, small seconds, 30-minute and 12-hour recessed counters blend in seamlessly with the uniform chocolate dial, framed with a black tachymeter bezel. The movement is a manually-wound caliber 1863 housed within a stainless steel case that is exhibited through a sapphire crystal caseback framed with the words 'The first and only watch worn on the moon".
Overall in excellent condition with general light sign of wear.

It is powered by the manual-wound movement caliber 1863, a decorated update of the caliber 1861 finished with Geneva stripes. An exhibition caseback is uncommon from standard Speedies, as usually the caseback is sealed to better resist extreme temperatures when the first movement went to space.
