Speedmaster CK2998 Blue 311.33.40.30.02.001
$ 6,860 Sold Out
The limited edition Omega Speedmaster CK2998 is a tribute to the watch of the same name which was in prodution from 1959 up until 1962. The original Omega Speedmaster CK2998 was actually the first Omega in space, on the wrist of astronaut Wally Schirra during the Sigma 7 mission in October 1962. The new iteration of the CK2998 gives the opportuniy for a younger generation of Speedmaster fan to acquire a modern timepiece while enjoying the look and design feel of its vintage counterpart.
At 39.7mm, the watch case provides a more wearable option than the larger 42mm Speedmaster Professional. The case takes inspiration from the straight-lug models like the original CK2998, and does not feature crown guards. On the back of the watch you'll see an embossed seahorse and an engraving for the unique number of the watch. Visually, the watch provides a great contrast of colours with the use of blue subdials and outer track combined with a white dial. The lollipop seconds hands here provides the ultimate vintage nod to an already very attractive timepiece.
